I KNOW IT'S GONNA HAPPEN SOMEDAY ------------------------------------ There is a minute of noise and vague bass plodding which I have ignored and is pretty uninteresting anyway. The song proper starts with Morrissey singing the words "My love" when the C chord comes in. I have not tabbed the endless mandolin line (I admit I don't really know if it's a mandolin or not - it just sounds like one) since it would take forever to do and no one would ever play it. It just follows the guitar chords basically with the odd minor note put in for good measure, so if you need it work it out yourself. Here are the chords: C E F Dm My love, wherever you are, whatever you are, don't lose faith. C E Am C Dm E (bass part doodling here) I know it's gonna happen someday to you Dm C Dm C Please wait, please wait G/Dm Ah ha ha................. C Dm G Wait, don't lose faith C E You say that the day just never arrives F Dm And it's never seemed so far away C E Am C Dm E Still I know it's gonna happen someday... to you Dm C Dm ...Please wait, don't lose faith INSTRUMENTAL outro to fade: C C/C#/Dm/D# D#/Dm/C#/C | | rapid chromatic chord progression up (then down) Some of this may not be entirely accurate but especially in the case of D minor chords, try variations around them to include the mandolin notes and you'll get the sound quite well. Frankly, it would be difficult to emulate the exact sound of this song with one guitar - a bass would improve it a lot, and in the best of worlds a mandolin/guitar player would add that final touch. I hope this is of some help to whoever asked for it. Dave
